The service
Do you actually come to me?
Yes, that's the whole business. Rhett brings power, his own equipment and every product with him, so he can work in a driveway, a parking lot, or an office lot. You don't need to provide an outlet. If a job needs water, he'll ask when you book.
How long will it take?
The estimate at the top of this page shows the time along with the price. A hand wash is about an hour; a complete detail on an SUV runs four to five. A two-stage correction is a full day.
What areas do you cover, and do you charge for travel?
Travel is free within 30 miles of home base, which covers Overland Park, Leawood, Lenexa, Mission, Olathe, and Shawnee, and each of those has its own page under service area. Past 30 miles it’s 50¢ a mile, charged only on the miles beyond the free radius, so 40 miles out is $5, not $20. Somewhere else in the metro? Ask, it is usually still free.
Money
Do I have to pay up front?
No. You can prepay when you book, or settle up in person once the work is done, card, tap to pay, or cash. Prepaying just locks the slot; it doesn't change the price.
What if my car needs more than the estimate said?
Rhett will tell you before he starts, not after. If a vehicle needs more than it looked like from the booking, you get the revised number and decide then. Nothing gets added to your bill without you agreeing to it first.
What does the maintenance program actually include?
$100 a month per vehicle. Rhett sets the payment up with you directly when you join. You book one detail per month whenever it suits you, get priority over one-off bookings, and pay member pricing on add-ons. No contract, cancel any time.
The work itself
Do you do window tint or paint protection film?
No. Tint and PPF are their own trades, and Rhett would rather point you to someone who does them all day than do them occasionally. He does handle coatings, correction, undercoating, bed liners, and select wrap work.
What's the difference between a correction and a coating?
Correction fixes the paint, machine polishing that removes swirls and scratches that are already there. A coating protects it going forward. Doing a coating over unfixed paint just seals the defects in, which is why correction comes first.
The business
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured for detailing, auto service, and related work. Happy to send a certificate if your company or property manager needs one on file.
Do you do mechanical work or sell cars?
Yes, both, and both have their own page. Basic mechanical, oil changes, brakes, fluid flushes, and diagnostics at $100/hr labor, with no engine or transmission work. Rhett also sells client vehicles on consignment. Neither is menu priced the way detailing is, so you send the details and get a number back.
What are your hours?
8 Am - 8 Pm, 7 days a week. That includes Saturday and Sunday. The booking page takes a job at any hour, so there's no need to catch Rhett inside them.
Local questions
Asked about your city?
Each service area has its own answers, parking, travel, and the problems specific to cars in that part of the metro.
