Terms of Service

These terms cover services provided by Rhett's Auto LLC ("Rhett's Auto", "we", "I"), a Kansas limited liability company, and apply whenever you book a service through this website or otherwise.

Estimates and final price

Prices shown on this site are real prices for the services described, based on the vehicle size and options you select. The total your build produces is an estimate, not a fixed-price contract.

If your vehicle needs more work than the booking described, heavier contamination, damage not visible in photos, or a size class different from the one selected, we will tell you the revised price before starting the work. You may accept the revision, reduce the scope, or cancel at no charge. Nothing is added to your bill without your agreement first.

Booking and payment

• You can pay once the work is complete: in person by card, tap to pay, or cash, or online through the payment link on the invoice we send.
• Where paying in advance is offered at checkout, it reserves your appointment slot. It does not change the price.
• Prices on this site are in US dollars and may change; the price shown when you book is the price that applies to that booking.

Maintenance program

The maintenance program is $100 per vehicle per month, billed monthly, and entitles you to one detail per enrolled vehicle in each billing month. Unused months do not roll over or accrue. There is no minimum term, cancel at any time and billing stops at the end of the month already paid for. Enrollment covers the specific vehicle enrolled.

Travel

Travel is free within 30 miles of Overland Park, KS. Beyond that radius, travel is billed at $0.50 per mile, applied only to the miles past the free radius, a location 40 miles out is charged for 10 miles, not 40. Any travel charge is quoted and agreed before the appointment is confirmed, never added afterwards.

Text messages

If you check the box at checkout, we'll send you a single automated text confirming that appointment: the date and time, services, total, and a reference number, as part of coordinating your booking. This is entirely optional -- leaving it unchecked does not stop you from booking. It is a one-time transactional message per booking; we do not send appointment reminders, marketing texts, or any other recurring messages. Message frequency: one message per booking. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for help.

Scheduling, access, and cancellation

This is primarily a mobile service: at booking, you choose whether Rhett comes to you or you drop the vehicle off at 12316 W 162nd St, Overland Park, KS 66221. For a mobile visit, you are responsible for providing safe, legal, and reasonable access to the vehicle at the agreed location. We bring our own power and equipment. Some jobs need access to a water supply at the location, and we will tell you before the appointment if yours is one of them.

• Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
• If we arrive and cannot access the vehicle, or the location is unsafe or unlawful to work in, the appointment may be treated as a cancellation.
• Severe weather may require rescheduling. We will contact you as early as we can.

What we do and don't work on

We do not offer window tint, paint protection film (PPF), engine work, transmission work. Where a job falls outside what we do, we will say so rather than attempt it.

Detailing is cosmetic work. It cannot repair pre-existing damage such as failing clear coat, deep scratches through the paint, rust, torn upholstery, or prior poor repairs. Where a defect cannot be corrected, we will tell you before starting rather than after.

Insurance and liability

Rhett's Auto LLC carries $2M umbrella liability covering detailing, auto service, and related work. A certificate of insurance is available on request.

We are responsible for damage we directly cause through our own negligence. Report any concern within 48 hours of service so it can be inspected while the cause is still determinable. To the extent permitted by Kansas law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the service in question, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Please remove valuables and personal items before your appointment. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.

Photography

We often photograph work for our portfolio and social media. Photos are of vehicles, not people, and license plates are excluded or obscured. Tell us if you would rather we didn't and we won't.
