Why here specifically

What correction is up against in Overland Park.

The city splits roughly in half for paint. North of about 75th you get houses built in the fifties through the seventies, and the cars parked outside them skew older and kept longer. Older paint often means single stage, which cuts differently and far more easily than modern clear coat. It also means oxidation rather than swirls, a dull chalky layer that has to come off before anything underneath looks like paint again.

South through Blue Valley the story flips. Newer cars, more leases, more clear coat, and the defect is almost always wash marks. Fine circular scratches from automatic washes and from dry towels. They are shallow, they respond well, and a single cutting stage usually clears most of them.

Because I am based here there is no travel charge and no minimum drive, which makes Overland Park the easiest place to do a two stage job across two visits if a car needs more than one day.

Paint correction, priced

Every number before you commit.

  • Iron decon package

Chemical iron removal and strip wash. Required before any paint correction.

    $100
  • Prep and taping

Trim, badges, and edges masked before the machine touches the panel.

    $50
  • Paint correction, 1 stage

One cutting stage. Removes most swirls and light scratches.

    $200
  • Paint correction, 2 stage

Cut and refine. For heavier defects and dark paint.

    $400

Machine polishing that removes swirls, wash marks and light scratches instead of filling them in. Priced per stage, quoted before I start. Build it on the correction and ceramic page, or start from the full menu if the car needs the inside doing too.

Overland Park questions

Asked and answered.

More on the Overland Park page.

Will correction fix scratches I can catch a fingernail in?

No. If your nail catches, the scratch is through the clear coat and polishing cannot bring that back. Correction removes defects sitting inside the clear coat. Anything deeper is a paint repair, which is a different job and a different quote.

How long does correction take in Overland Park?

A one stage on a sedan is most of a day once decon and taping are done. Two stage on a dark car is realistically a full day or split across two, and since I am based here splitting it costs you nothing extra.
